There are eight guardians on the Hope Memorial Bridge in Cleveland, Ohio. The guardians are large, Art Deco-style sculptures that stand at each end of the bridge's four pylons, which rise high above the Cuyahoga River.
The guardians were created by sculptor Henry Hering and his team in the 1930s. Hering was a prominent sculptor of his time and had previously worked on other notable public works projects.
Also known as the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge, is a landmark bridge in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. The bridge was completed in 1932 and was designed by the renowned Cleveland architect Frank R. Walker.
The bridge was originally named the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge because it spans the Cuyahoga River and connects Lorain Avenue on Cleveland's west side with Carnegie Avenue on the east side. The bridge was built to ease traffic congestion and to provide a direct link between downtown Cleveland and the neighborhoods on the west side of the river.
In 1983, the bridge was renamed the Hope Memorial Bridge in honor of Bob Hope, the famous comedian and entertainer who was born in Cleveland in 1903. The renaming of the bridge was a tribute to Hope's long and distinguished career in show business and his contributions to the city of Cleveland.
Today, the Hope Memorial Bridge is recognized as one of the most important landmarks in Cleveland. It is a major transportation artery and is used by thousands of commuters and visitors every day. The bridge is also a popular destination for photographers and tourists who want to capture the stunning views of the Cuyahoga River and the Cleveland skyline.

Testimonials
"I've been enjoying Mike's photos online for years. His photos have a way of making things very familiar to me more beautiful than I remember. They bring me a lot of joy. He helps me appreciate the beauty around here. I finally own one of "Tree Farm Trail" photos; now I have the beauty in my home. Mike takes an ordinary, familiar landscape and makes it absolutely beautiful."
